Monet’s Garden Lilly Pond #6 Willow
24″ x 20″
Oil on canvas
Just could not stop painting. In a difficult stressful time in my life to have the calming subject matter of Monet’s garden Lily Ponds was cathartic. It was the inspiration to be optimistic. It gave me a real sense of direction. I could have been easily distracted and redirected in a negative way. How could any artist not be happy to paint such an ideally serene subject as Monet’s Garden. The lovely fall colors give more contrast in a painting then monotone greens. Lucky, Lucky me!, to paint only what I want, when I want to paint it. This is the reason I never paint commissions.
