Xochimilco Toy Boats

Small boats refer not to the boats these vendors are polling but the small toy boats for the children they are selling. Our dear Cuban friend Miguel got drafted to take me to Xochimilco because my husband had business in the States. It was a lovely soft sunny Sunday.

We rented a boat that could hold 12 people and which I climbed all over and hung off the sides getting all the pictures I could. The light was fabulous and the reflections bouncing off the water were breathtaking.

I know that I must have embarrassed poor Miguel, he sat ridged as if to say how did I get on this boat with this Loco Gringa.
