Oil can always be changed. After finishing a painting I let it Rest for at least two weeks. I Rest a painting by setting it aside to glance at from time to time. This Resting is an important part of actually totally finishing a painting. I reconsider a color, shape, or positioning of any part of my painting. With an oil painting it is never too late to make changes.
