The Buddha in this painting is a miniature replica of the Water and Moon kuan-Yin Bodhisattva in the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City Missouri. This large room is so tranquil and beautiful it is one of my favorite places. I have used this small Buddha in several of my still life paintings because it brings back such good memories and tranquil moments. I enjoy setting up my flowers and accessories to photograph for my future paintings very much. I probably spent as much time with my Set-ups, planning, drawing and transferring my drawing to the canvas as I spend on my actual painting.
