This small Llardo figurine is one that my husband Charlie brought me back from Valencia Spain. Still life paintings are my comfort food. Whenever I am resting from a complicated child, person, animal or landscape painting I turn to my still lifes as a form of relaxation. Thank God for digital cameras, computers and printers. I can take 300 pictures of nonsense and only print one or none. Years later I can go back through my photographs and pull out a still life photograph Set-up to paint.
