The inclusion of this small painting on my website was used to show my progression as an artist. These weeds were gathered on a neighboring empty lot. I stuck them in a vase and painted them. Before this simple painting was half done they were wilted. Maybe that is why these flowers have a staged stiff look. For me this is a very small painting. Normally I like canvases over 18″ x 24″.
