Flowers and Friends-Peonies I

This is a horizontal painting using the same Magnolia and critter subject matter as the vertical painting. Using the same no sketchbook approach just attacking canvas with little or no layout. As the composition developed and I arranged my flowers and critters there are slightly different critters in this painting. A 24 x 30 canvas for some it’s not that large but with detailing butterflies accurately it does take time. It was so much fun that I would wake up in the morning thinking about what I wanted to add next to this painting.
